Effective as of 12/31/2019, New York State’s minimum wage has been increased across the state. The minimum age increase will vary depending on the region. We have complied a list of the regional increases and details on who will be affected. 

 

New York City:

 

  • $15.00 per hour for size businesses 

 

Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties:

 

  • $13.00 per hour

 

The Rest of New York State

 

In the remainder of the state, it is $11.80 per hour however there are different hourly rates for workers in the fast food industry and those who receive tips. These rates remain in effect until December 30, 2020.
